Dave Cuddigan: Owner
Dave is a second-generation builder who grew up in Prior Lake, Minnesota. With decades of hands-on experience in residential construction, Dave brings a deep knowledge of the building process and an unwavering commitment to quality to every project.
His attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong work ethic have played an important role in the success of the company and in building lasting relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
When he’s not working, Dave enjoys spending time up north with his family and enjoying the
outdoors.
Kristin Cuddigan: Designer & Selection Coordinator
Kristin’s passion for home design and extensive experience are an important part of the Cuddigan Custom Builders process. She works closely with each client throughout the selection process, helping make the experience both fun and rewarding.
Our hands-on approach ensures that every selection works together to create a cohesive look and feel throughout the home, from the exterior to the smallest interior details. Kristin’s knowledge and attention to detail help bring each client’s vision to life.
When she’s not working, Kristin enjoys spending time up north, camping, and enjoying the outdoors.
Jake Cuddigan: Sales & Project Manger
Jake joined the family business as a third-generation builder. Having learned the business from the ground up, he brings extensive knowledge of residential construction to both the sales and production sides of the company.
Jake works closely with clients from the very beginning, helping with plan design and turning their ideas and vision into a home that fits their needs and lifestyle. As the main point of contact throughout the entire building process, Jake is there to guide clients every step of the way, answer questions, and ensure they always know what to expect.
Throughout construction, Jake offers weekly walkthroughs with clients, providing an opportunity to stay connected, see the progress of their new home, and make the experience enjoyable along the way. His approachable personality, willingness to listen, and hands-on knowledge of construction make him a valuable resource for homeowners throughout their building journey.
When he’s not working, Jake enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors riding his Polaris machines.
Nick Cuddigan: Construction Manager
Nick joined the Cuddigan Custom Builders team full-time as a third-generation builder. He brings a hands-on approach to his role, spending much of his time onsite working closely with our trusted subcontractors and overseeing the progress of each project.
When he’s not onsite, Nick works alongside Dave to develop build schedules, price new projects, and coordinate material orders. His involvement in both the field and behind-the-scenes operations gives him a well-rounded understanding of the building process and helps keep each project moving smoothly.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys golfing, spending time with his dog, Tucker, and enjoying the outdoors.
Buffy Mobroten: Plan Development
Buffy has been part of the Cuddigan Custom Builders team for more than 25 years. With a career focused on new home construction, she brings extensive knowledge, creativity, and a genuine passion for helping customers create their dream homes.
Buffy plays an important role in the plan design process, working closely with homeowners to turn their ideas and vision into thoughtfully designed plans. Her experience and attention to detail allow her to help guide each client through the plan design process and help ensure their home is both functional and uniquely suited to their needs.
Outside of work, Buffy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and supporting several charitable organizations.
Steve Vespested: Design and Drafting
Steve has been in the design and drafting field for over 40 years. He has worked in both the commercial architectural field and residential design. He brings a unique set of skills to our design process, and develops great designs for our customers.
Tom Larson: Warranty Coordinator
Tom coordinates the New Home warranty process for all of our customers. When your new home has been finished and detailed, Tom meets with you to do your new home orientation. He provides a wealth of construction knowledge to Cuddigan and has been an invaluable team member for over 25 years.
Trevor Sheets: Project Specialist
Trevor is a Lakeville Elementary teacher, and has also been with us for over 25 years. He spends his summers working full time, and part time during the school year working in the Cuddigan shop. You will see Trevor’s woodworking skills on many of our homes. In his off time he enjoys fishing, snowmobiling, and camping.
